Senegal police free key Wade opponent without charge: NGO

Senegal police on Monday released without charge the coordinator of a protest movement against President Abdoulaye Wade's controversial bid for a third term, the activist's NGO said.

Alioune Tine was freed after two days in custody and "he has not been charged," said Alassane Seck, a member of the African Assembly for the Defence of Human Rights (RADDHO), of which Tine is a prominent member.
